This month we bring you news about interaction, meetings, exhibitor area and badges.
In particular, there are two developments that you have been asking us for a long, long time ;)
In addition to our interaction tools (Chat, Polls, Q&A), you can now add custom content tabs to a streaming.
You can use them to include third party interaction tools (like Slido or Kahoot), simultaneous translation or other content that might be of interest (a map, a sponsor's website, a Spotify playlist, a form like Typeform to collect feedback,...).
These additional content tabs are basically iframes, so the flexibility is great and so is the potential.
Previously, the interaction tabs always appeared in the same order: Chat, Polls, Q&A. Now, it is possible to arrange the tabs in any order you want.
Until now, the interaction tabs (Chat, Polls, Q&A) had a fixed name set by us.
With this development, you can now edit the name of the interaction tabs.
In physical events, meetings are usually held in dedicated networking locations and that is why we have Meeting Spaces.
We have already published spaces with unlimited capacity, and now we are publishing spaces with limited capacity.
Limited capacity means that meeting spaces can be used as rooms with a certain capacity and you have to take into account whether they are full or not, but it doesn't matter where the participants will be seated.
It's like when you walk into a pub. You are only interested in whether the place is full or not. You don't care if there's room to sit down or if you have to stand. The important thing is to be able to enter somewhere and drink a cold beer! 🍻
Until now, it was not possible to add as staff members users who were already registered for the event. The expected workflow was: first you add a person as staff and then this person registers for the event.
However, we have seen that it was not always possible to follow this workflow and that in many occasions it was necessary to add as staff an already registered attendee to the event... but we were not allowing it for synchronisation reasons with other products.
With this development we have managed to remove the restriction and by doing so we expect to reduce the friction caused by the previous flow.
Imagine an event starting in just a few days.
It is very common to send an initial mailing with badges, but keeping registration open until the last minute to maximise attendance.
In such situation, the ideal approach is to send only those badges that have not been sent previously, in order to send them only to those people who have registered recently.
With the current badge system, there is no way to do this and it was necessary to resend the badge to all attendees.
Now, it is possible to generate and send only those badges that have not been sent yet.
